The U.S. today finishes its delayed transition to digital TV. By 12:01 a.m. Saturday, broadcasters must have shut down their analog transmitters, leaving only static to watch for those who are not ready. People who pay for cable or satellite TV service are unaffected by the change. The end of analog television frees up that part of the broadcast spectrum for other uses.

Such a sad day.....

Today American Airlines announce yet another round of layoffs. Up to 1600 employees will lose their jobs on October 1st, while upper management continues to pay themselves bonuses every year. In Boston alone there is an overage of 77 flight attendants. Although this round will not reach me. It is starting to get very close. These Flight attendants getting the WARN letter have about 10 yrs and I have 12. So scary, So sad. How long is this going to last?

Just got my certificate, purser nametag and stars!! It's official. I am an American Airlines Purser!!

I passed! I passed! I passed! Just finished my purser exam and get to come home tomorrow. It's been a fun two weeks but I am glad to be going home. ;-)

Today is my purser test. Hope I pass it the first time!! Wish me luck.

Well I begin week 2 of training today. I will be a certified purser by Wednesday. It's suppose to be near 100 degrees this entire week. Gross!!

Boston's newest Pursers!

Paul, Curtis and Myself down at purser training. We have completed week 1 and get to come home for a day and half. One more week to go and then we get qualified. So far its been pretty easy and mostly just fun!

Well I am off dfw today to start my purser trainning. It goes until the 11th, but we get to come home for 2 days of it. Just saw the news about the Air France plane, so sad!! I'll try to keep u posted as the week goes on. Hope everyone is doing well. Happy June. Summer's here!!

We have just learned that the California Supreme Court will announce its decision on Proposition 8 Tuesday, May 26th. If it follows past practice, the court will make its announcement at about 10 AM Pacific Time (1 PM, Eastern / 12 noon Central).

And when Seacrest opened the envelope, Allen looked genuinely stunned, his mouth hanging open as Lambert gave him a big hug.
Finally raising his hand in victory and looking like he was a bit nauseous, Allen said, "Are you freakin' serious? ... It feels good man, but Adam deserves this. I don't even know what to feel right now. This is crazy. Thank you so much."

Today I am headed to dfw for an interview to be a purser. What does that mean? Two more dollars an hour and I get to fly lead on a wide body airplane. It also means I will get to fly to lax alot more. More lax, more celebrities!! ;-)

Yesterday my stepmom's kitty "puddydat" got sick and never recovered. Puddydat was survived by mother janet, father gregg and son connor. Puddydat will be missed by all!

Cinco De Mayo !!

What does that really mean.....I have no idea.

Day 2.1

I just got back from the Gym. It's my first time exercising in a few weeks. Felt great after I was done but was hard to motivate myself to go. In an hours time, I am done now and have the rest of the afternoon off. I am still in shock about my weigh-in. I expected to be back over 200!! I did start my diet yesterday, I went all day without a soda. Got a headache though! I am calling this phase of the diet ".1" cause I already started a day 1 on January 31st. Now that I am restarting my commitment to my health, this is the second phase.

Pleasantly Surprised!!

I just stepped on the scale for the first time since coming back from Mexico. 197.8 WOW!! I am right where I left off. I am so excited about that. That being said I only have 12lbs to my goal. I can do that!!

Countdown continues.....

It's May 1st, I am going to start my program again. I have been a little relaxed since returning home from Mexico, but that's it!! I am not stopping till I hit my goal of 185. I am on reserve this month, so I will have a lot of free time to stay focus and hit the gym EVERYDAY. I'll keep ya posted on my journey. At least I am starting this time already down 19lbs.
