Keep positive thoughts for becca as she tries to make her way home from India. The flights are so full, I think it will take her a few days. I hope not! U guess she is having some trouble with her exit visa too. She has had to prove she was there on business. Wish her luck. She is going to need it this time.

I'm off to STL this morning. They are under a winter storm warning with 5 inches of snow expected. Keep you fingers crossed we make it out tomorrow!

It's my lucky day......

Looking for something to do on my layover in St. Louis today, we decided to head over to the riverboat casino. The above slot machine is my favorite. It's called Wheel of Fortune! The fun part is when you land on the wheel and it spends and everyone gathers around to see where it stops. Whatever number it is, you win in quarters. Looking at the picture can you see the 40 and the 25? In between there is the 1000. It never lands on the 1000, always the 40 or the 25. WELL today as I sat there watching the wheel spin, it did just that, it stopped on the 1000. I won $250 bucks!! Whaooo! I did it with only 4 spins, 3 bucks and I won $250. I haven't been able to stop smiling since!!

I snapped this picture with my phone on the way to work. We had just had a light dusting of snow and with the sun rising in the background the photographer in me saw the shot! It was like 6:45 in the morning, freezing cold, but didn't want to miss a good photo op!!

Well I am New York bound. Today I attend my first black-tie event. The first stop is the UNICEF headquaters for a meet and greet. Then back to hotel to get ready for the ball. My friend tim is going too. He is a flight attendant based in Boston too, so it will be nice to be with someone i know. I will try to post pics as I go. Should be an amazing experience, the tickets are $2750 each!!

This morning I saw 208 on the scale, that means I am down 7 pounds already! This is it this time! I am not stopping till I get to my goal of 185.

'New Moon' fever exploded over the weekend, as the second installment of the 'Twilight' saga opened up with $140.7 million in its first three days and pulled in a total of $258.8 million worldwide, according to studio estimates.'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' kicked things off with the biggest Friday opening of all time with a whopping $72.7 million Friday, beating previous record holder 'The Dark Knight' which opened in 2008 with $67.2 million on nearly 800 more screens.
The $140.7 million total more than doubles the $69.6 million that 'Twilight' pulled in when it opened up last year. The three-day gross was also enough to place 'New Moon' third on the all-time best opening list, behind last year's $158.4 million opening weekend for the Batman blockbuster 'The Dark Knight' and 2007's $151.1 million haul for 'Spider-Man 3.'

I did it!!!

I did it....I finally did it, after all these months of talking about it, I finally did it. I went to the Gym today!! I am starting a new strict program to see if I can lose some of this baby fat before I have to wear my tuxedo on December 2nd. I know this is a really tough time to start a program, but I have been really unhappy with what I see in the mirror lately. So I am using my Black-tie event to help motivate me. I have never reached my official goal in a diet, so this time I am not stopping till I hit it!!

UNICEF Honor

This week I got a call from American Airlines and they ask me to represent them at the Annual Snowflake ball in NYC. As you know I have been collecting donations on my flight for UNICEF since June. Knowing how passionate about I am, they ask me If I wanted to go. It will be my first Black Tie event. Check out the website for the event, its like $250 a ticket, Lots of celebrities will be there. I heart Aveda

I usually get my haircut from those cheap salons, cause there really isn't anything fancy about my hair. However every once in a while I like to treat myself to the salon experience. Hence my trip the the Aveda Salon at Segundo Beach, CA. It starts with a warm oil scalp massage with your hair completely dry. (it feels sooooo good!!) Then you head over to the sink where they wash, condition and treat (3 different products) your hair and scalp. Next comes the professional haircut. Followed by a trip back to the sink for a rinse and then a mini facial. Yes I said facial. She put a hot towel on my face, then did a gentle cleansing scrub, another hot towel and then moisturizer. Back to the chair to have my hair styled. Wow--So how much did all this cost me? $17.50. Since this was my first Aveda experience I got 50% off, how cool is that!! And that is why I Heart Aveda.

Hard to believe.....

It's hard to believe its November 1st already! Just 8 weeks left in this year, where does the time all go......

Today marks the end of my 12th year with American Airlines! As I start my 13th year tomorrow, there still is NO job I would rather be doing.
