Are you ready for a new season of American Idol? The 2 hour season premier starts tonight. What are your feelings about Ellen as the new judge or Simon's last season? I have to tell you the new show Simon is starting in 2011 "X factor" is SO much better than Idol. This will be a welcome change.

The eagle has landed. The eagle has landed. Rebecca has finally made it home from India safe and sound. Del-hkg-nrt-jfk-stl-dfw-pdx. Wow. All I can say!!

Leaving about 30 mins late but we are on our way home. See you soon!!

Rebecca and I just landed in dfw. One more leg and I will have personally brought her home!

Becca is on the plane with me from stl to dfw. Hang in there becca. Just 2 more flights.

Rebecca is with me now!! We have to get up in 5 hrs, but she is here safe and sound. Btw, can u believe her suitcase is here with her. Can't wait to hear all the stories.

She was close but no cigar. She did not make the pdx flight. She is now on the way to stl and will spend the night with me, then I will fly her to pdx tomorrow. We arrive at 1140 am.

Rebecca has landed on US soil. It's now it's a race to see if she can clear customs and make the Portland flight at 725 pm. It's like the amazing race!!

Okay, here is the latest! Rebecca is on her way to NYC. She did not get on the flight from nrt to dfw so they put her on jfk. Dustin said there is a jfk-pdx flight tonight so we are looking into the loads. Will keep u posted. She at least headed in the right direction. Don't feel too bad she's flying fc on a 777. I haven't even done that.

After spending 14hrs sitting on the plane becca still has not made it to tokoyo. She mentioned they gave her a hotel and food voucher for the night so she is doing pretty good under the circumstances. She gets into TKY too late for the first flight to dfw so she will try the 7pm flight then connect on a 9pm flight to pdx. All on the 9th. I'll keep u posted should I find out anything eles.

Get this one. Rebecca is out of India and in Hong Kong right now. Mom are you jealous??

Don't make the welcome home signs just yet. Due to dense fog in Delhi rebecca's confirmed flight to NRT has been grounded for 11 hrs. Crazy isn't it?? Anyway, she will now attempt to take a afternoon flight out of japan getting her into pdx around 3pm on the 9th. Thank goodness age started all this early and had all these wiggle days. Hopefully the next update will be she's on her way to the mainland!!

Update on becca. So she found a cheap ticket, confirmed space on a del-nrt flight. If all goes well she will Nonrev from nrt-dfw-pdx. I'll keep ya posted.

Bad news. They imposed a weight restriction last minute and left with 18 open seats. Becca did not make it onto the flight. She did call me and told me some nonrevs have been waiting for 4 days to get out of Delhi.

Becca is at the DEL airport. I can see her name on the list. We should know in 2 hrs if she gets on it. At this point, I think it looks pretty good.

Update on becca. I guess the whole exit visa thing was a misunderstanding. She is free to come and go as she likes under her current visa. That's a relief. Flights are still very full out of Delhi. She will still need lots of luck to get out of there.

Keep positive thoughts for becca as she tries to make her way home from India. The flights are so full, I think it will take her a few days. I hope not! U guess she is having some trouble with her exit visa too. She has had to prove she was there on business. Wish her luck. She is going to need it this time.

I'm off to STL this morning. They are under a winter storm warning with 5 inches of snow expected. Keep you fingers crossed we make it out tomorrow!

Here's hoping that everyone has a safe journey to their final destination this Christmas eve. If all goes well, Dustin is making his way to his family in Phoenix and I am on my way to Portland. Wishing each of you a wonderful day and filled with all the Christmas cheer!

Another tragic death to young Hollywood. Brittany Murphy age 32 died of a heart attack this morning in LA. How does this happen to 32 year olds. Scary!!

It's my lucky day......

Looking for something to do on my layover in St. Louis today, we decided to head over to the riverboat casino. The above slot machine is my favorite. It's called Wheel of Fortune! The fun part is when you land on the wheel and it spends and everyone gathers around to see where it stops. Whatever number it is, you win in quarters. Looking at the picture can you see the 40 and the 25? In between there is the 1000. It never lands on the 1000, always the 40 or the 25. WELL today as I sat there watching the wheel spin, it did just that, it stopped on the 1000. I won $250 bucks!! Whaooo! I did it with only 4 spins, 3 bucks and I won $250. I haven't been able to stop smiling since!!

I snapped this picture with my phone on the way to work. We had just had a light dusting of snow and with the sun rising in the background the photographer in me saw the shot! It was like 6:45 in the morning, freezing cold, but didn't want to miss a good photo op!!

Well I am New York bound. Today I attend my first black-tie event. The first stop is the UNICEF headquaters for a meet and greet. Then back to hotel to get ready for the ball. My friend tim is going too. He is a flight attendant based in Boston too, so it will be nice to be with someone i know. I will try to post pics as I go. Should be an amazing experience, the tickets are $2750 each!!
