R.I.P. Teddy!

An American legend, Ted Kennedy, passed away late Tuesday night. The longtime Senator from Massachusetts and member of the most iconic family in American politics had been bravely battling brain cancer for some time. Kennedy died at his home in Hyannis Port, Mass. He was 77 years old.

From Space: Hurricane Bill Clips the East Coast

Hurricane Bill as it swept passed the east coast of the U.S. over the weekend. The hurricane was said to be responsible for two deaths — a young girl in Maine who was swept into the sea with a group of 20 others when a rogue wave knocked them from a ledge at Acadia National Park, and a man who washed ashore unconscious in New Smyrna Beach in Florida.

This little article just came out in our Quarterly Newsletter that is shipped to all 74,000 employees at American Airlines. Six Flags Day Trip.....

Despite it being 98 degrees and about 100% humidity, we had a great day at Six Flags. The water rides for sure helped cool us down! Connor was a great little sport and it was great to have someone who wanted to go on all those big rides with me! Hey and Connor even got to have a Photo Op with his best bud Scooby!!

We stopped by Winthrop Beach just 5 mins from our house to see if Hurricane Bill had started making big waves....as you can see NOTHING! But provided us with a great Photo Op!

Fun day at the Science Museum!

Today at the Science Museum we saw everything from the dinosaurs to the black hole in the universe. So much to see, including a 3D movie about bugs on our bodies and the planetarium where Connor pretty much wrote the script. He know so much about our solar system. Fun day for sure!!

Lil Bro arrives in boston tomorrow!

With his bags already packed for days, my lil brother Connor will make his way to Boston to spend a week with me and Dustin. Can't wait, I don't know who is more excited, him or me??

Murano no more........

With our upcoming lease expiring in November on our Murano, I went to the dealership to see what options there were for us. Wanting a lower payment and the same feeling of the murano, I think I did pretty good! Welcome to our new car for the next 3 years. Nissan Altima 2.5 S. It rides very well, very spacious, keyless entry and start up, sunroof, gets 400 miles on the tank of gas and is $150 cheaper a month. Its only been a couple hours and I miss the murano but there is nothing like that new car smell!!

What are you doing today? I am going to chicago for a couple hours then be back in boston around 830pm. Tomorrow we pick up the new car. More details to follow. Connor comes to Boston on Tuesday for a week. Should be tons of fun! Have s great weekend everyone!

Today I tried Bikram Hot Yoga......

My friend Michele told me she was going to take me to a Bikram Hot Yoga class and that I would love it! I was hoping she had forgot until she called today and told me she was picking me up at 2:30 pm. I was sick to my stomach with nerves! But I am a man of my word and I told her I would try it out. How did I do? Check out the next post!

I survived BIKRAM Yoga!!

So started pretty good until minute 50. By then the room had reached 115 degrees down from the usual 135. I felt my body getting a little woozie but didn't feel like I needed to sit down. Thinking the class was only 60 minutes long, I knew I could last 10 more minutes. Oh no, that was not the case, the class is 90 min's! Now we move down to the floor for some back poses. I did make it all the way through without passing out or throwing up. I did attempt all the poses. Just not as limber as my co-yogi Michele Mulligan. Will I try it again?......probably! Will my yoga sister be proud of me....heck ya!!

Camping trip!

Tomorrow I head for Odell Lake, Oregon to celebrate my step-moms 50th Birthday. I was trying to think if I had ever been camping before. If ever, it has to be at least 25 yrs ago. Should be fun to get out an rough it for a few days. I am sure there will be lots of pics to post when I return.

Summer layovers in LAX.....

I finally get to fly to LAX again. Its been so long since I have had these long layovers. I will be there nine times this month as new Purser qualification paid off. One my first layover, my friend Julie and I rode our bikes 26 miles to Pink Berry and back. I love it! I did get sunburned, that part was not fun!

Growing up fast!

My Brother Connor is really growing up fast. Just completing the fourth grade, he is very excited to begin the summer vacation. This was taken on my one-day trip to Seattle for Father's day. Oh I almost forgot, two separate occasions someone wished me a Happy Father's Day!! Lol!

Tough week to be a celebrity!

Infomercial king Billy Mays has passed away. The TV pitchman was found dead at his home in Florida on Sunday.Like Michael Jackson, Mays was also 50 years old. Police say they don't think foul play was involved, however no official cause of death has been determined yet. Our condolences to his family and friends. Ironically, Mays was on board a US Airways flight that blew out its front tires as it landed at a Tampa airport on Saturday. US Airways spokesman Jim Olson said that none of the 138 passengers and five crew members were injured in the incident, but several passengers reported having bumps and bruises, according to the station. Authorities have not said whether Mays' death was related to the incident.

King of Pop passes away!

Michael Jackson, the show-stopping singer whose best-selling albums -- including "Off the Wall," "Thriller" and "Bad" -- and electrifying stage presence made him one of the most popular artists of all time, died Thursday.

Wow!! What a day in Hollywood. Michael Jackson just died. So sad for both MJ and Farrah's families!

RIP

Farrah Fawcett, the blonde-maned actress whose best-selling poster and "Charlie's Angels" stardom made her one of the most famous faces in the world, died Thursday. She was 62.
