We will be in CDA this year celebrating the holidays with Dustin and his family. It will actually be our first time there for the holidays, making it that more special. Hope everyone has a special day. I love you. Merry Christmas.

Christmas came early for me.....
Christmas came early this year for me when Dustin got me a new camera. I have been wanting to upgrade my point and shoot for a little while now. My mom, a professional photographer, and after doing lots of research, found the Cannon S95 to be topped rated in almost all categories. Buying it herself, now I wanted the same camera. One thing I really wanted in the new camera was HD 1080 video recording, and this camera really delivers on that. Dustin and I took my camera out for a spin this past weekend and here were a few of my favorite shots. SO Mom, now that we have the same camera's, let the photo battle begin!! And, of course, a very special thank you to my wonderful husband Dustin for getting me this awesome gift!!

On Monday I got to attend a Live taping of the NBC show " The Sing-off ". I have been watching the show for the past 3 years and getting to be actually in the show audience was so much fun. It was their Christmas Reunion show. Standing next to me in my co-worker and friend Kelli, who is into the show just as much as me. This photo is a screen shot from the TV during the broadcast. Ha ha, love it!!

Sad day for us.....
So here are my thoughts, my own personal view: It had to be done. We were the only airline to not file chapter 11. Now the thought of all we have given up over the past 10 years to prevent this day, while the executives continued to reward themselves with millions in bonuses sickens me. But this filing had to be done. We must get our cost in line to compete with the other carriers and move past this rut. Now within 18month (by law) when we emerge a new airline, we hopefully will start making profits which in turn will create more growth. The difference between us and them, is we have a lot of cash (billions) of it going into chapter 11 and we will not have to borrow at very high interest rates. In the end we will come out leaner and stronger and be a more efficient company. But at what expense? That's the hard part to swallow. Base closing, pay cuts , lay offs. Those are the sad and painful parts of chapter 11. The courts don't care, who they hurt only to make the company profitable again. For me personally, I don't think I need to worry about being laid off, as far as Boston closing, who knows. It may just be the excuse and the push we have been waiting for to get us back to the west coast. It won't be easy over the next 18 months, but it is what it is. I can go to work every day and be miserable or a can make the best of what I have now, for as long as I have it. I have a roof over my head, good health, loving spouse, family and friends. Life is still good for me!

You can't even imagine.....
Trust me....when I tell you these garlic balls are out of this world. While I am in LA, I love to go to C&O Trattoria in Venice Beach. Words cannot describe how good they are!! Not to be mentioned is how many calories it is per garlic ball. However in my defense, I do ride my bike 10.2 miles to get there and then its 10.2 miles back to the pick up point on Manhattan Pier. So I can enjoy a few here or there!!

My first visit to Gound Zero.
It took more than 10 years to do it, but I finally went to Ground Zero in New York and paid my respects to my co-workers and friends. It was surreal to be on the very ground where that fateful day took place. I took the following pictures and put it together in the movie above.

Honoring those Fallen.......
America is founded on the principle of freedom, justice, and liberty for all. Our nation's soldiers serve every day to protect our country and its ideals. Please take a moment to remember those who have served and those who have sacrificed their lives in order to secure peace and democracy for the rest of us. A hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself.

Oh oh...What did he do now?
Now this is the Second edition. The first one was blocked by YouTube for copyright infringement. The song I used..." It's alright", theme song to Caddy shack by Kenny Logging's. So this was not the song I had originally choose, but wanted to get this movie posted. So here it is, the Version 2 copy. Enjoy!!

Oh weather outside is frightful.....
But not from Halloween Ghouls!! It finally has turned to snow in the city of Boston. Outside of Boston some places could see up to 36 inches of snow from this storm. At my house they are calling for 2-4 inches. Which is plenty for October!! Some 320,000 people in Mass are already without power and on the east coast almost 2 million, so this storm is having a huge impact. Cause it dark, no photos, But I'll try to get a few tomorrow. Stay tuned.
Say it ain't SNOW.......
Although not unheard of in October this will be one for the record books. This Nor'easter has the potential to affect 60 million people. This one day event will be a real shocker, but temps are suppose to be back in the upper 50's the rest of the week, so we all just need to get through the next 48 hrs!! ONLY IN NEW ENGLAND!!
