I usually get my haircut from those cheap salons, cause there really isn't anything fancy about my hair. However every once in a while I like to treat myself to the salon experience. Hence my trip the the Aveda Salon at Segundo Beach, CA. It starts with a warm oil scalp massage with your hair completely dry. (it feels sooooo good!!) Then you head over to the sink where they wash, condition and treat (3 different products) your hair and scalp. Next comes the professional haircut. Followed by a trip back to the sink for a rinse and then a mini facial. Yes I said facial. She put a hot towel on my face, then did a gentle cleansing scrub, another hot towel and then moisturizer. Back to the chair to have my hair styled. Wow--So how much did all this cost me? $17.50. Since this was my first Aveda experience I got 50% off, how cool is that!!
